A Lesson Learned

I finished packing, loaded up the car and was about to shower and go to bed when I decided to call Continental Airlines to check what would happen if my bag was a few pounds overweight, but not the 6 pounds that made it an extra $110. For some reason the guy on the other line couldn't find my flight information, so I went on to my Orbitz account and logged into "My Trips." Under my flight it says "You have canceled this flight." Naturally I freak out. I have previously (2 weeks ago) logged into "My Trips," picked the seat I wanted in each flight, picked my meals and sent the director and associate director at my school my itinerary. 6 hours before my flight and it says I canceled it!?! I call Orbitz and find out that they sent me a follow up e-mail 4 hours later saying they couldn't book me the flight... problem was I made an Orbitz account when I was in high school and am still using an aol e-mail that I never use, so I never received the e-mail. After a long phone conversation I booked another flight. It was only $80 more and I arrive in South Korea at 6:10 PM instead of 6:35 PM. It could be worse, but now I know to not leave old e-mail addresses on active accounts!
